Our nutrition-sensitive agriculture program supports smallholder farmers to grow diverse, nutritious crops and build sustainable value chains, linking agricultural production to improved nutritional outcomes.
This intervention recognizes the critical link between agriculture and nutrition, working with farmers to diversify production and improve access to nutritious foods.
"Before joining the program, I only grew maize and beans. Now I grow a variety of vegetables and fruits, and I am able to provide a nutritious diet for my family while also earning income from selling the surplus."- Peter, farmer, Tanzania
The program is implemented in partnership with agricultural research institutions, private sector companies, and government extension services.
